Best NFT Marketplace For Artists

Best NFT Marketplace For Artists NFT platform launched on Tezos blockchain

Kalamint went live on the Tezos blockchain 23 march, and the first NFTs are already on sale. Kalamint distinguishes itself by combating plagiarism.

Two Platforms Best NFT marketplace for artists

The community surrounding NFTs on Tezos has overgrown in recent weeks. Kalamint can get off to a good start, affecting the exchange rate of XTZ, Tezos' native currency. Besides, it also helps that NFT on Tezos has been written about in a major  Israeli financial newspaper this weekend, only it was about another platform called Hicetnunc.

Hicetnunc is growing in popularity and attracts many NFT artists such as Mario Klingemann, EclecticMethod, Refik Anadol, Angie Taylor, Joanie Lemercier, and more. Anyone can create an NFT on Hicetnunc, and 10,000 NFTs were hit in the first three weeks.

Kalamint differs from Hicetnunc in several ways and is best described as an exclusive gallery. Experts like other artists control this, and they are financially incentivized to prevent plagiarism on the platform.

So it is kind of a marketplace for digital artworks, and Kala means art in India.

In the first version of Kala Mint, users can NFTs make the blockchain Tezos. You can then put it up for sale on the online market by entering a value in XTZ. Without buyers, no sellers, so you can buy NFTs on offer for your collection or trade.

Later versions will include collection creation (limited editions), auctions, price tracking curves, and a DAO. A DAO is a decentralized governance model.

Kalamint Guild

Kalamint is a so-called curated market, just like a physical gallery. This means that there is an authority (guild) on the platform that decides who can become an artist and that it can act if plagiarism is suspected. In Kalamint, this authority is formed by the users. The guild consists of up to 26 makers, collectors, and guards. Thus, the gallery expects them to have it mainly of quality, not high trading volumes.

Prevent plagiarism

Non-curated markets such as Rarible, OpenSea, and Mintable have no entry barriers, so anyone can offer NFTs when they plug in their wallets. But this poses the problem of plagiarism. Since there is no control, it is a challenge for the platform developers to keep track of everything that gets published, and lazy artists can end up taking advantage of stolen artworks.

Like everything else on the internet that you can make money with, the NFT craze has attracted parasites who want to make money off others' work. That's what happened to an artist who creates digital photos under the name of Weird Undead. She found out someone has stolen her images and sold them as NFTs:
